January 26 will be remembered in the Jewellery Industry - Plan for 2026
You’ve probably seen headlines about the price of silver rising spectacularly and then dropping, alongside images of people wanting to sell their silver to be melted down. This situation has been driven by speculation and people trying to profit from silver. On the other side of the coin, however, are the silversmiths who use silver to handcraft jewellery, and we are currently in a tough situation. We need to purchase silver to create the rings that we love to make and that you love to buy, but the prices have become ridiculous. I have to pass these extra costs on...
Christmas is coming, Opps I'm not ready!
Christmas is coming, opps I'm not ready! It's been a difficult couple of months, with both parents very ill. I am about a month behind where I expected to be. I am also renovating my boat, so with the parents being so sick it total chaos here. But the boat renovation is starting to come along. I am so close to being back on my boat and having a workstation again, it's frustrating, it's Christmas already!, and I am now distracted with markets. Christmas 2024 and i bought a Boat
Hi everyone,I am excited to announce that my website is now open for Christmas orders! However, I must admit that I am not fully prepared for the holiday season. I'm currently going through a unique phase in my life. I've recently purchased a small narrowboat to live and work on, which requires a significant amount of attention before it's fully ready. I've moved abroad, but half of the boat is still uninhabitable. While I tackle the necessary repairs, I've relocated all my belongings to the front of the boat. I'm so grateful to have my van, as that is where...
August orders are all complete and a completely crazy few weeks!
Yay, I have finally got the last of my August orders in the post. It's been a crazy one. After the website closed, I put aside 3 days to make and post the orders. What I was not expecting was that my van would break down leaving Conwy. The brakes failed on my new to me van. Luckily, I managed to get towed to a local garage, who managed to fix it in time for me to get to my next festival which was the VW Festival near Leeds. Thanks Morfa Garage! However, this meant an unscheduled holiday in Conwy,...
Shop opening and back to Conwy Harbour 4th - 6th of August
I am back in Conwy Harbour from the 4th - 6th of August, so if you are around, pop in to see me. I loved doing Conwy Harbour in May, and I am super excited to be going back. These will also be the dates that I will open my online shop for orders. It has been a full-on summer of events for me; along with everyday life happenings and my van breaking down, I am a bit behind with work. I am just one person doing all the making and selling. So it will be a limited opening,...
